The opening ceremonies in London are scheduled to begin at 9:00 p.m. local time, or 4:00 p.m on the East Coast, 3:00 p.m central and 1:00 p.m on the West Coast.

However, viewers in the United States will not be able to see a live showing of the event, as NBC is scheduled to broadcast the tape-delayed opening ceremonies at 7:00 p.m. ET. Coverage of the event will kickoff at 5:30 p.m ET, but the actual ceremonies are not expected to run longer than three hours.
